My name is Matt, whoops, Matthew Raymond Flynn, my Mom probably would have wanted me to use my entire name. I was born in Denver, Colorado, on October 11th, 1967, (died September 27, 2017) but I lived most of my formative years in Wheatland, Wyoming (Go Bulldogs!!). Yep, I graduated from Wheatland High School, in 1986. So, if you’re reading this, I’ve probably met my end, but that’s ok, I’ll be fine, I trust my brothers will throw me a fine Irish wake!! I loved my life, I had a real zest for it; hence my love for riding motorcycles. I had a wonderful daughter, Courtney Danielle, who I referred to as “CDF”, she loved me and I loved more than anything spending time with her. I had a very “unique” personality, I never met a stranger, literally everybody was a friend to me. I loved the Denver Broncos, tolerated the Green Bay Packers (inside story), and I absolutely adored the band KISS!! I loved watching sporting events, pro or collegiate. I loved working at Stephen F. Austin University, everybody there I adored and respected (it was a home away from home for me). Nacogdoches was my adopted home, but I never lost touch with my high school posse from Wheatland!! They will be bored without me, I was the requisite entertainment at all social events. I will be survived by my Dad, Ray Flynn, three brothers, Patrick, Christopher and Ryan oodles and oodles of nieces, nephews and cousins, I’ll miss you all. So, that’s it, have fun everyone and remember, I’ll be with you always in spirit (his memorial is on Sunday, the 1st of October, 1-3pm, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home, very casual, come and go as you please, Bronco attire encouraged!!).
Peace out!!
