

Ms. Dudley, the eldest daughter of Ollie and Maude Cook, was born in Etoile, Texas and lived in Galena Park, Texas, for more than 50 years. She was a long-time employee of McGlynn Bakeries working as a cake decorator and the proprietor of the restaurant Mr. Hamburger in the 1980s.
Ms. Dudley is survived by her daughter, Myra Dacus of Waco, Texas; son, Leon Dudley and his wife Linda of Pearland, Texas; granddaughter, Tina Ethridge and her husband Jay of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and great-grandson, Jack Ethridge, also of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Donald Cook and his wife Kelly; her sister, Christine King and her husband Jim; her sister, Tanya Sue Atkinson; her sister, Ollie Mae Garrett and her husband Al; and her nieces and nephews, Gay Stone, Guy Cook, Karen Perry, John King, Michael Atkinson, Clay Atkinson, Connie Bryer, Ronnie Lyles, and Lance Lyles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Dudley; eldest brother, Howard Cook; her brother-in-law R.E. Atkinson; her nephew, Clifford Cook; and her niece, Carolyn Brandt.
The family will welcome visitors Tuesday, August 23, 2011, starting at 5:00 p.m. at Cason-Monk-Metcalf, 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Funeral services will be held the following day, Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf’s Sunset Chapel. Interment will be at Blue Springs Cemetery, Etoile, Texas, immediately following the service.
