Nannette "Carol" Abernathy, age 84, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 in Garrison, Texas. Carol was born June 1, 1938 in Harris County, Texas to parents Lloyd and Ingrid Miller.
Carol retired from AT&T where she worked for many years. In her free time after retirement, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and listening to the birds. Above all, she loved being around those she loved most.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Robin Miller; and son, Shannon Abernathy.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter-in-law Elizabeth Abernathy; grandson, Chris Abernathy and wife Paige; granddaughter, Mariah Odom and husband Hunter; and great-grandsons, Chase and Maxwell Abernathy.
A graveside service for Carol will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Martinsville Baptist Cemetery, 10990 FM 95, Martinsville, TX 75958.
