

Mrs. Yeager was born December 15, 1924, in Elroy, Texas, to parents Norman Laclare Crosthwait and Nora Rosalta Strawn Crosthwait. She was a longtime resident of the Houston area and moved to Nacogdoches in the 1980s. Ruth retired as a group manager for Southwestern Bell following many years of service. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
Her husband, Wesley Dee Yeager, preceded her in death on March 1, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Son Crosthwait, Jake Crosthwait, and Bud Crosthwait; and sisters, Edith Harris and Katherine Eddings.
Survivors include her sons, Wes Yeager of Nacogdoches; Jimmy Yeager and wife Lisa of Spring, and Dwayne Yeager of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Jennifer Yeager White and husband Doug of Dripping Springs, Justin Yeager of Austin, and Amanda Yeager of Springfield, Missouri; and a great-granddaughter, Jordan Anne White of Dripping Springs.
Services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, with Dr. Allen Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
Pallbearers are Justin Yeager, Doug White, Chris Lively, Mark Eddings, Stephen Shepherd, and Keith Konecny.
