To try to capture Seth in a few paragraphs is impossible—because you couldn’t meet him without feeling something. He had a strong will, a loyal heart, and a smile that lit up a room. He lived with grit, led with laughter, and loved fiercely—especially his family.
Seth was a father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather. and devoted husband—and he gave all he had to each of those roles. His two boys, Cole and Dawson, were the center of his world. He loved them more than life itself, and they were never far from his thoughts or his words. As a stepfather and grandfather, he found joy in watching Ally and Brooke raise their children, and his eyes lit up whenever he talked about Riley, Remi, Kinsley and Beau.
He was born in Henderson, Texas, and graduated from Cushing High School in 1993. Growing up, he played side by side with his brothers—he was a standout athlete, fierce competitor, and natural leader on and off the field, fighting with every ounce of strength for the team around him. That same loyalty marked how he lived his life: protective, passionate, and deeply rooted in family. He went on to work in construction, where he built a life with his hands and wore his pride in every job well done.
Seth was raised in the church and carried that foundation with him throughout life. He was open with his affection, never too proud to say "I love you," and always willing to stand beside someone in need. He had his struggles—like many do—but he never let those struggles define him. What defined Seth was his love, his laughter, and the way he made people feel seen and protected.
In the final months of his life, Seth battled end-stage congestive heart failure with strength and courage. He never lost his love for others or his desire to be with his children. His will to live was driven by the same fire that had fueled his life since the beginning: love for his family and the determination to protect them as long as he could.
Seth is survived by his wife, Harmony Gadjos Sitton; his sons, Cole and Dawson; his stepdaughters, Ally Vaughan (Justin) and Brooke Sheila Rhodes; his grandchildren, Riley, Remi, Beau, and Kinsley; his father, Danny Sitton; his brothers, Thomas Sitton (Karli) and Dan Sitton (Shanna); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gayla Sitton; his grandparents, Layton and Elweno Sitton, and Billie and Emma Joe Thomas; and his uncles, Robert Sitton and Lou Thomas.
A service to celebrate Seth’s life will be held on July 19th 1:00 pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas. Visitation will be at 12:00 pm prior to the service.
All are welcome to come, share stories, and honor the legacy of a man who loved with everything he had.
Following the service, Seth will be laid to rest in Rock Springs Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Sitton, Dan Sitton, Justin Vaughan, Justin Koenig, Karl Sitton, Richard Hughes, Derrick Henderson, and Anthony McGee.
Rest easy, Seth. You were loved beyond measure—and always will be.
