
Sherry Ann Randall, 71, of Nacogdoches died unexpectedly on May 27th, 2023 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision. Her loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Sherry was born on June 9th, 1951 to Norman and Nelma June Byrd in Nacogdoches, Texas. Sherry graduated from Central Heights High School. She started her work career as a legal assistant, but later pursued a career in nursing, graduating from Angelina Nursing School and also attending SFA University Nursing School. She passed along her experience working as a nurse preceptor at Angelina Community College. Her nursing career included time as a paramedic and ER nurse at Memorial Hospital in Nacogdoches. In her later years, she worked in the home health nursing field.
Sherry was an active church member her whole life, including working in the daycare at First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
Sherry married Darrell W Moore on April 15th, 1968 and together they had two children, Curtis and Nicole. The two eventually separated but remained friends in later years.
Sherry later married Larry Randall. They were together until Larry's passing on October 29th, 2006.
Sherry was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Nelma June Byrd, and her second husband, Larry Randall. Sherry is survived by her first husband, Darrell Moore and his wife Mary Beth Moore of Nacogdoches, TX; her son Curtis Moore along with his wife Kim of Temple, TX and children Caden, Kyra, and Chase; her daughter Nicole along with her husband, Peter, of Liberty Hill, TX and children Isabella and Isaak; her step-daughter, Dayla Randall of Nacogdoches, TX; two nieces, Christy King(Randall) and Amy Murdock(Randall) of Nacogdoches, TX and their families, a nephew, Jody William Randall of Nacogdoches, TX and his family.
We wish to honor and celebrate Sherry Randall’s life on Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 4922 FM 2846, Nacogdoches, TX.
