

Todd was a Christian, a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, friend, and loved by all who met him. He was the son of F. Ray and Peggy Hill. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School (LHHS) in 1981 and Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) with a BBA. While at SFA, he met his future wife, Helen Starr Daniel and they were married June 26, 1999. Todd and Helen have a wonderful son Joe Sterling, age 13.
Todd is survived by his wife of 16 years, Helen Starr Hill, son Joe Sterling Hill; sister Scherrie Scheu Bryant, brothers Tim Scheu, Ted Hill and Robert Rucker Hill, his parents Ray and Peggy Hill, Don and Robin Scheu, nieces Campbell Scheu, Lindsay Bryant, Katie Bryant, Martha Wheeler, Lori Thompson and Shannon Thompson; nephews Matt Bryant, and Jude Hill.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Monroe and Dr. Margaret Estes Rucker, who was a professor at SFA; and his father-in-law, Joe Charles Daniel.
Todd grew up in Lake Highlands in Dallas with 3 brothers and a sister. He earned his Eagle Scout with Troop 890 at age 14. He loved the outdoors and attended many camps including his favorite, Philmont Scout Ranch. Todd was a record setting, award-winning swimmer at LHHS and SFA. Todd was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at SFA, where he served as Vice-President and Director of Intramural Sports.
Todd was currently working for Home Depot as a Sales Consultant. He was one of the top-producing salesmen in the country, winning Top Sales Consultant for the Houston Branch in 2014. He was awarded membership to the Million Dollar Club in 2015 and received numerous other sales awards. Todd was active in the community, volunteering for Junior Achievement at Cardiff Junior High as well as being a member of the Memorial National Exchange Club.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Christ Episcopal Church, Nacogdoches. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at Cason Monk-Metcalf, located at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches.
