William R. "Bill" Lovett

He was born May 15, 1931, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to parents C.C. Lovett and Hattie Elizabeth Lovett.

His first wife, Patricia A. Taylor Lovett, preceded him in death in Riverside, California, after 40 years marriage, and his second wife, Elois Brogan Lovett, preceded in death in Nacogdoches, Texas, after 19 years of marriage.

His survivors include his daughter, Linda S. Young and husband Tim of Nacogdoches, Texas; children by marriage, Sharon Leblue and husband Vernon of Chireno, Texas, Sue Zienko and husband Al of Chireno, Texas, and Terry Brogan and wife Debbie of Nacogdoches; brothers, Paul Lovett and wife Denise of Benton, Arkansas, Larry Lovett and wife Sharon of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Ronald Lovett of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, James Morgan of California and Kelly Morgan and her daughter Kayleigh of Nacogdoches; six grandchildren by marriage and 15 great-grandchildren.

Bill served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and in Korea War Zone. He was a life member of Nacogdoches VFW Post #3893.

Bill’s working career was in Southern California during a 40-year period, primarily in the electronics and solar industries. He was involved in Toastmasters International and served as president at the local Riverside club. He and Elois enjoyed over 18 years of traveling in their motor home throughout the United States and Canada.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf’s Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, with Bro. John Wahl officiating. Interment will follow at Lower Chireno Cemetery, located off FM 95 South in Chireno, Texas.

Visiation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2014.

Pallbearers will be Travis Zienko, Al Zienko, Bubba Canterberry, James Morgan, Chris Muckelroy, and Vernon Leblue.
