

Willie P. Partin, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Nacogdoches on Wednesday August 24, 2011. He was born in Nacogdoches to parents Robert Mosby Partin and Lillian Clerice Collins on September 2, 1926.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 10:00 am at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Brother Sonny Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park where the Milam Masonic Lodge 2 and Nacogdoches Fire Department will perform their honors.
Willie was a lifelong resident of Nacogdoches and a graduate of Nacogdoches High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the end of World War ll and the Korean War. In 1953, he started his career as a fireman where he was promoted to Captain and then Deputy Chief ending his career after 35 years of faithful service. In 1953 he also married the love of his life, Fairy Scogin Partin, whom he lovingly cherished until her passing.
Willie was known as a devoted husband, caring father, and generous grandfather. Upon his retiring he enjoyed many trips traveling through the United States and Canada in a motor home. He especially enjoyed his trips to Branson, Missouri. Willie helped establish the Loco Valley Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Lilly Grove Water Board.He was a member of the Antique Car Club of Nacogdoches, and a VFW member post #3893, and a 50 year Mason member of the Miliam Lodge #2.
His survivors include his wife Dottie Brooks Partin of Nacogdoches; son, Bob Partin and wife Tammy of Nacogdoches; daughter, Joan Hillin and husband Rick of Nacogdoches; grandsons, Richie Loe and wife Caitlin, Justin Keiffer all of Nacogdoches, Josh Loe of Austin; great granddaughter Lorelai Loe of Nacogdoches; and three step-children.
Willie is preceded in death by his first wife Fairy Partin and son Charles Partin.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, August 26, 2011 at Cason Monk- Metcalf Funeral Directors at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches, Texas.
Pallbearers will be members of the Nacogdoches Fire Department. Memorial donations may be made to: Nacogdoches Professional Firefighters Association, 212 E. Pillar, Nacogdoches, Texas,75961.
