Wilma Laura Cortines Price, age 97, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Wilma was born October 12, 1924 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents Tony Cortines and Nettie Gonzales Cortines.
She attended college at Southwestern University and the University of Houston. After completing school she became an assistant editor for McGraw-Hill Chemical week.
Her hobbies included traveling, cooking, flowers, and sewing. She would make her own drapes, curtains, and dresses without a pattern. She was very active in various prayer groups at the church.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Price; brothers, Leo Cortines and Eugene Cortines; and sister, Bertha Kahanek
Those left in cherish her memory include sisters, Frances Perkins, and Juanita Timberlake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Wilma will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965. A rosary will occur Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 6:00 PM, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965. A mass of Christian burial will occur Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2508 Appleby Sand Rd, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
Wilma will be laid to rest in Moral Cemetery, Nacogdoches, TX.
