

Arthur Helberg, 87, of Napoleon passed away peacefully on July 25, 2013 at the Lutheran Home. Arthur was born in Napoleon on September 27, 1925 to the late Arthur Helberg Sr. and Julia (Badenhop) Helberg. United in Marriage to the late Ann (Chamberlain) Helberg on December 6, 1946 until the time of her passing on September 19, 2002.
Arthur enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 19, 1944 and was a crew chief during WWII. He worked in the metal fabrication business most of his life until he retired in 1988. He was a sports fan, especially a fan of the Detroit Tigers.
Arthur is survived by his children; Patricia (Charles) Gallagher of Bowling Green Ohio, James (Ardna) Helberg, of Delta Ohio, Richard Helberg of Solon Ohio, Kathleen DeLozier and fiancée Keith Greer of Worthington Ohio. Grandpa to 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Arthur is also survived by two sisters in law; Irene Helberg and Bonnie Helberg.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and siblings; Elvera (Charles) Conn, Wilbur Helberg and Robert Helberg.
Visitation for Arthur will be held at Walker Mortuary 333 W. Main St. Napoleon Ohio on Sunday July 28, 2013 from 2p.m.-5p.m and from 7p.m.-9p.m. A funeral service in honor of Arthur will take place on Monday July 29, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 1075 Glenwood Ave, Napoleon at 11:00 a.m. Pastors Marcis and Kramer will officiate. Military Honors will be afforded to Arthur at Grelton Cemetery by the U.S. Army and the American Legion Post #262 of Hamler Ohio.
