Eugene Russell Davis

He was born on June 8, 1930 in Henry County, Ohio to the late Kenneth Wilbur and Sarah Anna (Byrne) Davis. He married the love of his life, Patricia (Hoffer) Davis on June 25, 1960.

He worked and retired from General Motors Powertrain in Defiance, Ohio. He served in the U.S Navy from 1947-1950 and the U.S Marine Corps from 1950-1953.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Davis of Napoleon; two daughters, Betty (Tim) Geahlen of Toledo and Lorreen Miller of Napoleon; daughter-in-law, Cathy Davis of Napoleon; four sons, Jon (Karla) Davis of Napoleon, Mike (Geri) Davis of Napoleon, Ed Davis of Grand Rapids, Ohio, and Bill (Karen) of Napoleon;

thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Larry Davis; grandson Joshua Davis; four brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Donald, and Marvin Davis; seven sisters, Dorthy Davis, Juanita Geckle, Beatrice Cooper, Nettie Hamens, Donna Rohdy, Rosemary Moorhead, and Shirley Engel.

As per Eugene's request, services and interment will be private.

There will be no visitation.

The family suggest memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society or Defiance Hospice.
