

Forrest E. Miller 96, a resident at the Lutheran Home in Napoleon, died on Thursday night, May 23, 2013 at Henry County Hospital. He was born August 27, 1916 on the family farm in Liberty Township, Henry County, the son of Charles and Julia Miller. In 1936 he married Marie Dehnbostel, who died in 1966.
Forrest was a life-long farmer, living on and working the farm his ancestors settled on when they came from England in the late 1840s. The farm was one of the first to receive designation as a Henry County Centennial Farm and is still owned by the family.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
Surviving are a son, Lt. Col. (Retired) Ronald F. Miller, a daughter Suzanne (Delmer) Bockelman and three grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were brothers Wilmer and Stanley Miller.
Graveside services were held Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Young Cemetery in Liberty Center with Rev. Lee Genter officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home Napoleon, Ohio.
