Howard Behrman

He was born on September 18, 1938 in Henry County to Harold and Esther (Scheele) Behrman. He married Norma Kruse on July 5, 1959.

Howard retired in 1996 after over 30 years of service for the GM Powertrain, Defiance, Ohio. He also was a farmer. He served his country in the Ohio Army National Guard from 1957-1965. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hamler where he served as an Elder and Trustee. He also was the church caretaker for over 35 years. He was a member of the Napoleon Amvets Post 1313.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years Norma Behrman of rural Napoleon; three daughters, Robin (Bill) Inselmann of Hamler, Jodi (Roger) Rader of Deshler, and Dawn (Dennis) Hogrefe of Deshler; 7 grandchildren, Jenna Inselmann, Karissa Inselmann, Rachel (Kip) Studer, Jamie Rader, Jared Rader, Bryce Hogrefe, and Collin Hogrefe.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hamler, Ohio with the Rev. Douglas DeWitt, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 – 8 P.M. at the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio, and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.

The family suggest memorials be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hospice of Henry County, Hope Services of Henry County or Patrick Henry Athletic Boosters.
