James J. Levins Sr.

Born December 9, 1945 in Camden, New Jersey, the son of James G. and Catherine E. (Keys) Levins. On November 1, 1969 he married Patricia (Jones) Levins, who survives of Girard.

Jim retired from the B.F. Goodrich/Michelin Tire Co. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the VFW Post 3360 of Defiance, Ohio.

Surviving also is one son James J. Levins Jr.; one daughter Stephanie (Paul) Triska; one grandson Timothy Levins; three sisters Catherine Acker, Elizabeth Mann and Deborah Baus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Theresa Wolf and Alice Levins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance County, Rev. James Erven, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Honor Guard.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League #758, P.O. Box 164, Defiance, Ohio 43512.
