Born October 12, 1957 in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Jay L. and Alice (Spence) Stanton.
Stephen was disabled. He formerly worked as an individual welder and worked at Wal Mart.
Surviving is his mother Alice, Napoleon, Ohio; one brother Frederick (Marsha) Stanton, Napoleon, Ohio; three sisters Mary Alice (Ronald) Hillis, Fremont, Indiana, Jeanne Dean, Paris, Texas and Wanda (Randy) Jones, Spring, Texas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother J.L. Stanton Jr.
Services will be held at a later date.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene.
Arrangements are in care of the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio.
