David Gross Andersen

Born on September 8, 1942, David was a lifelong member of the Redland community and a dedicated local businessman. He was the longtime owner of Redland Grocery Inc., a historic family business that has served local agriculture and residents in the Redland for generations. Carrying forward a legacy that began in 1943, David spent over 50 years preserving the store’s character as both a trusted resource and a gathering place for the community.

Beyond his work, David found his greatest joy in time spent with his family. He was happiest in the outdoors, whether in the Everglades or fishing in the Florida Keys, sharing those experiences with his sons and their friends and creating memories that will last a j

He is survived by his sons, Jon Andersen, who continues the family legacy at Redland Grocery Inc., and Eric Andersen of Andersen Farms.

David will be remembered as a man people could always depend on—someone who was trustworthy, steady, and deeply connected to his family, his community, and the land he loved.

Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 Old Dixie Hwy FL 33032, US, on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, Tuesday, March 24th from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.

A Committal Service will follow at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, , US, on Tuesday March 24, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
