Edwin Joseph Terry

August 26, 1952 – January 13, 2026

Edwin “Pops” Terry, a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend, entered eternal rest on January 13, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born in Miami, Florida, Edwin was the son of Cecil Terry and Eileen Terry, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Irene DiDonato.

Pops was a man of strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. He had a gentle spirit and a heart that made everyone feel welcome. Those who knew him knew they were in the presence of a truly great man.

For the past year and a half, Edwin fought a courageous battle with cancer while also facing numerous medical challenges. Through every emergency, setback, and difficult day, he showed remarkable resilience and determination. He endured more than anyone ever should, yet he never stopped loving, never stopped trying, and never stopped fighting—right up until his final breath.

Pops would want everyone to know how deeply he loved his family and friends. His love was unwavering, his heart generous, and his legacy one of resilience, compassion, and strength.

Edwin is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Terry; his sons, Edwin J. Terry Jr. (wife, Marilyn), Jason M. Terry, and Brian J. Terry; his daughter, Brittany Terry-Lafond (husband, Ruben); his siblings, Robert Terry and Linda Kelly; his grandchildren, Jason Jr., Donte Jr., Jonathan, Christopher, Aleah, David, Nathan, and Andrew; his treasured bonus grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Though our hearts ache, we find comfort knowing Pops is finally at peace. His legacy of love, perseverance, and devotion will live on forever through his family.
