

He was born in New Bedford, MA, on June 21, 1921, the son of the late Henrie and Marie Charette.
Albert served his country in the US Navy and is a WWII veteran. He owned and operated Homestead Market on Acushnet Ave. in New Bedford for many years. He relocated to New Hampshire 3 years ago to be closer to his daughters. He was a communicant of Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua, and was very active within the church. He enjoyed fishing and boating. His greatest love and accomplishment in life was his family. He was very family oriented and enjoyed every moment he could with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Albert is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Irene (Girard) Charette in 2008.
He is survived by his four daughters, Diane Lamore and her husband Richard of Washington State, Pauline Huffman and her husband Daniel of San Clemente, CA, Claire Rioux and her husband Marc of Bedford, NH and Doris Thayer of Nashua, NH; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10 AM at Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, NH 03063. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Bedford, MA on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1 PM. The ZIS-SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 26 KINSLEY STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060 is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St, Manchester, NH 03101.
