Mary T. Drake

Mary T. Drake, 89, of Hollis, NH and Laconia, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 4, 1924 in Wolfeboro, NH, daughter of the late Archar and Abbie H. (Wiggin) Tebbetts.

Mrs. Drake worked in the electronics industry for 30 years, retiring from Raytheon with her husband Lewis. Together they enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Drake was a woman who loved puzzles and banana splits, fireplaces and spots she could find that were warmed by the sun. Her world revolved around her family, as they were the center of her life. She was disappointed that she didn’t “straighten out” Washington prior to her passing. Mrs. Drake did things her way.

She is survived by six children; Chester Drake and his wife Patricia of Sarasota, FL, Steven Drake of Loudon, NH, Dorothy McArthur and her husband Robert of Ft. Meyers, FL, Betty Lou Moody of Hudson, NH, Cheri Sweeney and her husband John of Laconia and Nancy O’Connell and her husband Kevin of Hollis. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis F. Drake in 1995, and infant son; Wayne Douglas Drake, a son in law; Maurice Moody, a daughter in law; Kathleen Drake and by her brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours were held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11:00am in the funeral home and interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
