
Cynthia Louise Thompson, age 66, of Nashville, Indiana died Saturday morning, July 7 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus. Born July 23, 1945 in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Robert Oliver and Patches (Auffenberg) Egloff. She was a graduate of Indiana University with honors. She was retired and had formerly worked at D.S.I. in Columbus, Brown County Community Corrections, as a director of the Brown County Senior Citizens Center, as a secretary at the Brown County 4-H office and as a substitute school teacher. She had also served as a Republican precinct committeeman. She was an accomplished musician, playing the flute for the Columbus Symphony and the churches she attended. She was a member of the Nashville Presbyterian Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rex Thompson, of Nashville; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy L. and Joe Reedy, of Fishers, Indiana; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig R. and Pam Rust, of Edwards, Illinois; one step-son, Robert L. Thompson, of Nashville; five grandchildren, Laine Reedy, Lauren Reedy, John Reedy, Madeline Rust and Adam Rust; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Yvanne Egloff, of Englewood, Florida and Tom and Susan Egloff, of North Vernon, Indiana and one sister, Lori Egloff, of Seymour, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 15 at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Scott Seay officiating at the Presbyterian Church, 602 State Road 135 N, Nashville. There will be a period of fellowship following the service at the church.
