Marsha "Dee" Darlene Richards

After a difficult battle with COPD and Diabetes, Marsha Darlene Richards passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Columbus to Thomas and Marcia Roberts. Dee Richards was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was a family-oriented angel. Dee was passionate about her husband, children, grandchildren, family, birds, wind chimes, books, flowers, work, Agatha Christie mysteries, and people.
Throughout her life Dee always looked on the positive side of life always finding the silver lining in any situation. She owned the Candle and Scent shop in Nashville for several years always greeting her customers with a smile and a warm greeting. Later in life she worked for different banks in Nashville finally settling down as manager of First Merchants. Dee loved all the employees there considering them family and would have a hearty greeting to the customers that would patronage the bank. In 1978, Dee Roberts met Alan Richards at the residence of a mutual friend and immediately fell in love. They went on to be married in 1979 for 41 years and had 2 children together.
Dee Richards leaves behind her husband Alan Richards, sons Neil Richards and Jamie Richards, daughter in-laws Lisa Richards and Amanda Richards, and grandsons Tristan Richards, Blake Mueller, Porter Richards, and William Richards, her siblings Scott Roberts and Pam Diamond, also several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Mike Roberts and Brad Roberts.
Dee will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
