Michael "Jonesy" Kevin Jones

Michael Kevin “Jonesy” Jones, 67, of Columbus passed away Sunday October 16, 2022 in Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born September 2, 1955 in Pensacola, Florida to Rex B. Jones and Mariette L. Myers Jones. He was retired from US Aggregates. Survivors include his mother, Mariette Jones of Columbus; four children, Amber Taliaferro of Eugene, Oregon, Jessica Jones of Sarasota, Florida, Matt (Deidra) Jones of Columbus and Tyler (Whitney) Jones of Indianapolis; two sisters, Kelly (Jeff) Root of Bloomington and Pam (Brian) Branco of Bermuda; seven grandchildren, Joseph Jones, Alexis Jones, Bailey Jones, Kaitlynn Fletcher, Kelsei Jones, Ella Jones and Rucker Jones; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex B. Jones; and a granddaughter who died in infancy, Ariana Taliaferro. Jonesy was a member of the Moose Fraternity; hobbies include spending time with his family and friends, showing his car, a 1965 Ford Thunderbird, watching sports, especially the Yankees, fishing and swimming. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135N, Nashville, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Unity Baptist Cemetery in Bean Blossom.
