My husband and i were so shocked to hear of Bert's passing.  When we were there in October with a guest, Bert was so gracious and accomodating.  He went to smoke shack and got my husband some ribs to try even though we were there for breakfast.  He made our visit even more memorable than usual.
Now he is sitting at God's table.
RIP dear soul.  May God bless and keep you until we all meet again.

bert fed so many people who didn't have the money to pay. he was a Nashville restaurant institution. he will be missed.

I am going to miss him so much. I have known Bert since 1993. He was my general Manager at TGI Friday's at Eliston Place, the Antioch store and Dalt's Classic American Grill from 1993 to 1998. He was the best manager I ever had! I would always like to pop in on Bert from time to time and play catch up on life. (I would eat of course). You will never find another PERSON or General Manager like Bert Hardesty because he broke the mode on caring about his employees, his store and being an all around good man!!!

Bert was the best Manager I ever have. I also had the privilege of working with him at TGI Friday's at Elliston, Antioch and at Dalt's. He was always caring and understanding to the employees, I will miss him greatly!

I didn't have the honor of knowing Mr. Hardesty but have seen the result of his good life. His daughter Melissa has been a lifesaver for our family time and time again through the losses we have experienced. Our hearts ache for this family. Prayers for all.

Bert was such a great boss! I had the privilege of working with him at TGI Fridays on Elliston and at Dalts. His work ethic, kindness, and fairness were an example to all. My deepest sympathies to his family.
