Age 97, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. She was born November 5,1925 in Nashville as the only child of Joseph Thomas Dunn and Jean Wallace Dunn.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 48 years, Charles David Orr. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Stewart Orr (Karen) and David Wallace Orr; granddaughters, Jean Marie Johnson (Scott), Sarah Elizabeth Orr and Samantha Jo Orr.
Betty was a graduate of West End High School and later graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree where she became a member of Phi Beta Kapa. She was employed for ten years as a statistician for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Betty was a faithful member of Second Presbyterian Church where she served as Elder and Treasurer for many years.

A gathering of family & friends for Betty will be held Monday, January 9,2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
