Bobbie Sue Kuykendall

Bobbie Sue (Carter) Kuykendall, 83, of Nashville, TN passed away on March 21st. Born to parents Bob and Ruby Carter on October 13, 1930, Bobbie was raised in Putnam County and graduated from Baxter Seminary in Baxter, TN. Bobbie married her husband Frank in 1952 and, after a military career, they settled in Nashville in 1970. Bobbie retired from Security Federal in 1991 as a Loan Officer after 20 years of employment. Known for her unfaltering faith, she has been an active member of Donelson Church of Christ for over 40 years. Bobbie was a generous, loving and selfless Christian wife and mother, and saw these as her most important roles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ron Kuykendall and her brother Joe Carter. Survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Frank Kuykendall, daughters Joan Kuykendall of Nashville, Beth Kuykendall Leary, (Ed) of Brentwood, TN and daughter-in-law Mary Armstrong Kuykendall of Petaluma, CA. Other survivors include grandchildren Rory Kuykendall, Carter and Ethan Hurt; Cecilia, Sara and Emma Leary; sisters Faye Smith, Joy Roark (Paul), sister-in-law Bonnie Carter and brother Charles Carter (Faye). The family will receive friends at Donelson Church of Christ Generations Lobby on Tuesday, March 25th from 6 – 8 pm, and the funeral will be held at the Donelson Church of Christ Chapel at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 26th with family visitation one hour prior.
