Bobby was born on February 15, 1937, to Cordell and Evelyn Earps in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Central High School in Nashville, Tennessee and later attended the University of Tennessee. He married Martha Sue Alexander Earps on July 16, 1955, in Alcorn County, Mississippi and from this union three children were born, Michael Earps, Marcus Lambert and Pamela Russell.
Bobby worked in mechanical engineering at AEDC - Arnold Engineering Development CTR and Cleveland Pneumatic. He was a charter member of Hope Missionary Baptist Church for 55 years and had a passion for serving God and witnessing people give their life to Christ. Bobby married Jane Earps on July 29, 2017.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Jane Earps; children, Michael Earps, Marcus Lambert and Pamela Russell; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Cordell and Evelyn Earps and his late wife, Martha S. Earps.
A gathering of family & friends for Bobby will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
