They say that time heals all things. Some things are and always will be past healingly. The world goes on, but so does the pain. it is now 5 five years later but the pain goes on. there is not a day that goes by that I do not still think about you. She was a total firecracker and made nursing school way more fun than it actually was. I enjoyed her stories, her humor, and her drive. My wife and I loved Dr. B. She was our professor at TSU, and I credit her with revitalizing my career. We are so saddened to see her go. I don’t know where I’d be today if I hadn’t known her.

I credit Dr. Bompart with being one of the primary reasons that I have become a nurse practitioner. As another former colleague of mine so eloquently said, she believed in us when we did not believe in ourselves. She saw our potential and pushed us to the brink until we realized what we were made of - I owe her everything. I could never describe the amount of respect I have for this beautiful, caring, gracious lady. For more than 10 years now, whenever I have to make a difficult decision in patient care, she continues to be at the forefront of my mind. Her impact was great and the loss of her is even greater. It is with my deepest respect that I send my condolences to her family, of which she always spoke so fondly. To you Carol, I tip my hat. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.

She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She loved her family dearly, was a great instructor, and a fun and bubbly person to be around.  May her lovely soul Rest In Peace. My condolences to her son, his family and her extended family and friends. We had the pleasure to know Carol through quilting and camping at Brown County State Park. Good times. Great sense of humor and a true Southern gentle-woman. Dr. Bompart set a new standard for generosity of heart. She was a staunch advocate for her patients, their families, and her students and colleagues. Carol was my friend partner, angel, and my life for the last 4+ years we shared love. laughter, Joy, and sorrow.  we did everything together. We even went on this crazy disease journey together right up to the point when Jesus took her from us saying “well done Oh good and faithful servant it is time to come home”. she was an extraordinary person with so much knowledge and compassion for others.  The sort of Person you would only meet once in a lifetime but remember forever.
We were only together for a short time, but I am proud to say that the Lord blessed me with that time we had. In that short time, we shared a lifetime of love and partnership most people could only be blessed with, in a whole life time. I know that when it is my time to go through the gates, we will have the party that she longed for on her 70th birthday with Calvin, Jim, Pootie and your family and friends that have gone before. I love you so much baby doll. You funny Butterfly lady, we will fill heaven with quilts and table runners. No matter how much anyone tries they cannot erase me from your memories nor you from mine.  For in the Lord's house possessions are just that and money has no meaning and has no value.
I think of you not as though you have gone. But you are just in another room I can hear you and you can hear me we just can’t speak as we used to. Soon we will be in the same room!
I know that you have a premier place at the table, and I can only be worthy of washing your feet.

Dr. Bompart was definitely an Angel amongst us. I will always be thankful to Dr. Bompart  for her loving, caring and sometimes strong demeanor, but she wanted her students to be the best! Dr. B. your spirit will continue to live in all of us who were privileged to have known you! You will be missed! 

Carol will be truly missed by so many. Her passion for law enforcement was truly dedicated as she was a long standing member of the Hendersonville Citizens Police Academy. To Carol's family. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. Carol left a legacy that is unsurpassed. 



I'm so glad to have had an office next door to Carol for a few years at TSU-- to see how she supported her students with love and professionalism-- she leaves behind a legacy in the many students' lives she touched. She made me a more compassionate educator.  I miss those morning chats in our offices at TSU or grabbing a quick lunch at Farmer's Market.  May memories provide comfort and strength to her family and students.  

Our friendship began @ Baptist Hospital.  Shared The challenges of NSG school together @ TSU. Renewed friendship as colleagues & preceptor.  Hard working, caring, compasionate  NURSE  PRACTITIONER/ EDUCATOR, phenomenal WOMAN.

My best friend, Carol, was a part of my life for the past 40+ years.  We met in Montana, she was my sorority sister, my sister from another mother, my confidant. my sewing  buddy,  my crazy, fun loving best friend who always had my back.  I will miss talking to her, planning the next adventure, camping at Brown County State Park, laughing and having fun. The world lost a shining light yesterday.  My heart and sympathy goes out to the family.  

Dr. Bompart provided a great impact by teaching nursing and inspired nursing students to go beyond their limitations. It reminds me often that my time in this world is limited so I need to make the best of it. Accomplish my goals, impact the community, and don't be tied to the weight of any person or job that is negative. Again, life is short. I have the choice to decide happiness and pursue things that interest me and give me joy. And I think for Dr. Bompart that was nursing. She was a good instructor.May God bless her sweet soul.

 You will be remembered for being so active in the nursing and medical profession. Also, you were the former instructor of my late sister, and you recognized her at our MSN ceremony.  My instructor 2012-2014 at TSU. God bless your family and friends during these times. 

She was a extremely smart and witty professor. Her smile and laughter was delightful. Dr. Bompart approached me and a few other select students to be inducted into PDK when I was a graduate student at TSU. What I loved most about Dr. Bompart was she was down to earth, personable, trustworthy, and most of all she was authentic. 

 She also worked with my mom Alberta at Memorial and/or Skyline when she served as the preceptor for nursing students. My mom loved her too. 

I also remember that she and her hubby loved going to the TSU games. She would wear her TSU hat. I loved it!  She will be greatly missed. 😢She was genuine and inspirational. She loved TSU and she loved her students. 

To the family of Carol, you are in my thoughts and prayers. 

Dr. Bompart was my nursing instructor for my FNP. She was an amazing woman. She was able to be the instructor who was also a friend. She was always able to bring a laugh and a smile to a room full of people. She had a great love for her family and I always looked forward to her stories about her granddaughter, Hailey. She will forever be remembered and missed. Prayers for her family and friends. 

Dr Bompart was my instructor 2013-2014.  We had a running joke, we have the same birthday and I sat in the same seat she sat in as a student. Everyday she would walk by and and say I was in her seat. I would say she stole my birthday. She was such a light to the NP program. Such fun in class. So knowledgeable. Her presence will certainly be missed. 

Your loved one has touched so many lives.. She was the intimidating instructor with a sense of humor and a big heart.. This is a tearful moment for me; she will always hold a special place in my heart..
Sending prayers for comfort for her family- which she always spoke with great pride- especially the granddaughter Hailey.. All of TSU has heard of her family 🥰🥰🥰
