
Carol Mackie Parsons, 71, died February 20, 2017, with her family by her side in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born July 10, 1945, in Nashville and spent much of her childhood in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. After graduating from business school in Kentucky, she moved to Florida where she met and married Ralph Parsons. She worked as a bank teller and then as a realtor. She left real estate to help found Parsons Engineering, where she was Office Manager for many years. Carol was a long time active member of Woodmont Christian Church. She was an art appreciator and loved to paint and travel. Ever the gracious host, Carol loved to entertain friends in her home. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ralph; daughters Dana Reynolds (David) and Audrey Yates (Stephen); grandsons Jack, Tyler, Jonah, Luke, Andrew and Matthew; nephew Brent Baldwin; nieces Robbye Burress and Julie McHale; and sister Billie Baldwin. Carol was blessed with a large circle of faithful friends to whom her family is forever grateful. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to one of Carol’s favorite causes: Heifer International, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and Disciples Divinity House at Vanderbilt.
