Christopher Shawn Bates Madison, TN Age 42, born May 10, 1973 in Nashville, Tennessee passed away on August 9, 2015. He is survived by his mother, Jean Armstrong Bates of Franklin, TN; brother, Randy Bates (Mary Lee) of Franklin, TN; two nephews, Brandon Bates and David Bates of Franklin, TN; and aunts, Marilyn Whitaker (Jack), Rachel Demonbreun (Arnold), and Linda Taylor (Wayne). He is preceded in passing by his father, Jack Wilson Bates; and his wife, Maureen Barber Bates. Shawn was a member of Madison Church of Christ in Madison, TN. He graduated from Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, TN and Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Family and friends will gather for visitation at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from noon to two-thirty in the afternoon, followed by funeral service at two-thirty. Entombment in Woodlawn’s Cross Mausoleum to follow service. Pallbearers will include Brandon and David Bates, Nick Bailey, Lance Long, Gary Biggs, and Justin Hammonds.
