Cynthia Ann Modlin, age 76, of Old Hickory Tennessee, passed away on September 27, 2020. Born October 16, 1943 in Kingsport, Tennessee, she was the daughter of J. Haywood Modlin and Sally Louise Smith Modlin (both deceased).
Cindy graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School, attended Guilford College and ultimately earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University in 1981. She began her career as a flight attendant subsequently working as a Certified Public Accountant. She was a member of the National Association of Accountants. Cindy was an artist and a writer, self-publishing her novel, "Born of the Valley."
Cindy is survived by her sister Kay M. Barker, brother-in-law Floyd W. Barker, niece Jill B. Stewart, nephew Steven C. Barker (Leslie S. Barker), grandnephew Colin W. Stewart, and treasured friends.
