

Dan was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on October 29, 1948, to Virginia Davis "Ginny" Warlick and George Clifton Warlick, Jr. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Memphis State University College of Law.
In his life, Dan was an avid hunter, sportsman, boating enthusiast, and motorcyclist, and above all a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, sibling, uncle, son, and friend. He also served a long and distinguished career as a lawyer, in his own words "standing with people who felt they had no one else." Previously, he had served as the chief investigator for the Tennessee Office of the State Chief Medical Examiner.
He is survived by his wife Gail Adams Warlick, his children Katherine Grace Nipper (Kevin Lee Nipper), Samuel Adams Warlick, and Erik Daniel Warlick, his sister Jennifer Lynn Warlick (David Betson), his brother George Clifton Warlick, III (Cynthia), his devoted friend, Edward Kish, his mother-in-law Margaret D. Adams, his sisters-in-law Margaret L. "Peggy" Adams and Sarah Jane Timmons (Bill), his nieces and nephews Melissa Warlick, Nicholas Betson, Elizabeth Betson, Andrew Betson, Millie Knox (Doug), Mandy Paul (James), Ammie Aragon (Michael), and Adam Timmons (Lindsay) his grandson, Carson Warlick, and ten great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and George, and his father-in-law, Charles G. Adams.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, at 3:00-5:00 pm and Monday, November 20, at 10:30-12:30 pm, with funeral at 1:00pm, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Cure Tay-Sachs Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. Honorary Pall Bearers: Dr. Edward Kish, Matthew Healy, Dr. David McCord, Bryan Wilson, Ernest William "Bill" Timmons III, and David Betson.
