David William Kline, 68, of Smyrna, died from injuries sustained in a traffic accident at 6:30 am, December 20, 2017 in LaVergne, Tennessee. David, a Nashville Resident from age 3, was a graduate of the University School Nashville and the University of Florida. David was a founding Partner of the Nashville architectural firm, Kline Swinney Associates. He was also an active member of the Church of the Advent Episcopal Church. A loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather, David was a friend to all who met him. He is proceeded in death by his parents Jack and Olita Kline, brother Tom Kline and stepson Richard Startup Jr. He is survived by his wife Mary Jenkins-Kline, son Bart Kline, daughter Noelle Kline, grandchildren Lucas, Mary Kate and Jack Kline, brother Mark Kline, daughter-in-law Gabrielle Kline and son-in-law Kenneth Prince. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held from 11 am to 12 pm and a Memorial Service from 12 pm to 1 pm, January 3, 2018 at the Church of the Advent, 5501 Franklin Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37220.
