Dorothy Jean McCracken, age 88, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born in Lawrence County and was a longtime resident of Nashville. Jean was a homemaker and previously worked as a secretary for an accounting firm in downtown Nashville, where she made lasting connections and contributed with dedication.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Carol Lynne McCracken of Nashville, and two brothers, Don and Carl Carrell, both of Summertown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Eugene and Viola Belle (Mabry) Carrell, and her beloved husband, Harris Whitfield McCracken.
A visitation for Jean will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with a Celebration of Life Service commencing at 11:30 AM. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park will follow the services. The family cordially invites friends and family to join them for a reception in Woodlawn's Music City Suite after the burial.
Jean’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
