Edith (Granny) Orr, joined our Lord peacefully in the a.m. hours of December 27th after sometime of being sick. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 4 till 8 pm and Sunday, January 1, 2017 from 1:30 till 2:30. ~A long time resident of LaVergne, TN she worked at Vanderbilt until she retired as the Parking Office manager and was devoted to her church and her church family. After moving to Mobile, Al she spent time visiting family and taking care of her pets. ~Edith was preceded by her husband Roland T. Orr and her sons Ronald William Smith and Clarence Dean Smith. Ms. Orr is survived by her eldest son Thomas Larry (Wanda) Smith of Mobile, AL, her grandsons Tim (Jennifer) Smith of Virginia Beach, VA and Tony (Holly) Smith of Goodlettsville, TN, and her grand daughters Michelle Smith of Mobile, AL, Tammy (Robert) Wallace of Prattville, AL, Tracy (Neal) Dick of Foley, AL, and Valerie (Gregory) Jones of College Park, MD. She was blessed with 11 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
