SANDERS, Elizabeth (Liz) Hickman Expired March 14, 2022. Born in the Good Luck Community near Rutherford, TN. Preceded in death by parents, Lois and Willie Hickman; sister Susie Walker, brothers JC, JW and Roy Hickman. Also, preceded in death by husband of 46 years, LCDR. Gilbert E. Sanders USN in 2001. Survived by children, Mark Sanders, Cynthia (David) Greer; grandchildren Caitlin (Mark) Nash; Mary Alice Sanders and John (Catherine) Sanders; one Great Grandson Joshua Ryan, who brought much pleasure to her in her later years. Liz lived in many parts of the USA and Puerto Rico while accompanying her husband, who was a career Naval Officer. She was a member of South End United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Saturday March 19th at 2pm followed by a crypt side service at The Woodlawn Mausoleum.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. With a funeral service Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
