Ella Harvilline Williams Duprey, 96, passed away on August 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Williams; parents, Maymie Lee (Bishop) and Rollie Carlton Snoddy; brothers, Charles Thomas and Bob Paul Collins (Brenda); sisters, Devola S. McClure (Claude) and Evelyn Poston (L.D.).
Harvilline is survived by her two brothers, Leslie Snoddy (Wanda) and Marvin Snoddy (Bonnie); two daughters, Hilda Flippen (Larry) and Darlene Clark, and her son, Rush Williams (Karen); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Harvilline was a chartered member of Charlotte Road Baptist Church. She received her nursing degree from Protestant Hospital in 1947 and served during World War II in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps.
Harvilline worked for 43 years as a Registered Nurse and was a 60-year member of Rock City Chapter I Order of the Eastern Star. After retirement, she taught quilting classes at Cohn Renaissance Center and Bellevue School Education Program for several years and was a member of Fifty Forward College Grove Community Center.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 10AM to 12PM in Dignity Hall at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. A funeral service will be conducted at 12PM in Dignity Hall followed by entombment in Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Mausoleum.
