As her short term memory began to fade she often surprised family and friends with songs and stories. She smiled with her eyes, a smile full of integrity and love, never a judgmental glance or word but a listener with a compassionate heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Neely and son James Filson. She is survived by son, George C. (Dianne) Neely; grandchildren Kimberly (Doug) Filson-Staggs, Jeffrey H. Filson, John S. (Beth) Neely, Nicole L. (Dale) Owen, Zachary A. Neely, Rebekah G. Neely, Claudia R. Neely; great-grandchildren, Clark Staggs, Adam Filson, Evan Filson, and Gavin Owens.
Funeral services will be 2:30 Friday March 12, 2010 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Raymond Langlois officiating, with visitation Friday morning from 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-2:30 at WOODLAWN-ROESCH-PATTON FUNERAL HOME 660 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37204 (615) 383-4754.
