

Gary H Harrington, age 78, of Sevierville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville TN. Gary was born on January 23, 1947 in Nunnelly, TN to his parents Robert Walter and Flossie Mae Weems Harrington who precede him in death.
Gary was a graduate of John A Gupton College of Mortuary Science with an associate's degree in Mortuary Science and was a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, retiring from Funeral Service in 2004 in Jacksonville, FL working for Hardage Giddens Funeral Homes. After retirement. he and his partner Darryl left Jacksonville, FL to return to their Tennessee roots settling in Sevierville, TN where he became an entrepreneur owning several businesses in the Sevierville area. Gary was very proud of the services that he rendered to both his Funeral Service clients and as a business owner. His success was evident. Gary was a fun-loving person who enjoyed his time away from work traveling and searching out his next great find. He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all that had the opportunity to know him.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Walter and Flossie Mae Harrington, by his son Kyle Baker Harrington, his sister Shirley Maynard of Mesa AZ and his brothers Roy and James Harrington. He is survived by his partner Darryl Smith of Sevierville, TN, his sisters Anita Skelton of Waynesboro and Janice Lawson of Centerville, his brothers Kenneth D and Larry W and Ted L Harrington of Centerville and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a gathering of family & friends for Gary on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. With his Celebration of Life service occurring at 11:00 AM in Dignity Hall at the funeral home. His entombment will be on the 3rd Floor of the Cross Mausoleum immediately following the service.
