Gerald was born and raised in the small town of Ducktown, Tennessee next to the Blue Ridge Mountains. His family then moved to Nashville where he graduated from Central High School and following that The Peabody College of Vanderbilt. After graduation, he began his career as a teacher, then transferred into the construction business owning and operating Reesa and Alman construction company. Eventually, he would attend the Nashville YMCA Law school at night while he also worked during the day, receiving his J.D. in 1971.
He is preceded in death by his father Norman Davis Richardson, his mother Lois Taylor Richardson, and his grandson Warner Grey Richardson Andrews. He is survived by his daughter Sara Ashley Richardson, Stacey Richardson Andrews (Hal) , three grandchildren Wyatt Blake Andrews, Sela Morgan Andrews, and Samuel Penn Andrews, good friend Dennis Spann and many special friends throughout the 202 community.
Services will be held Friday, January 20th at 11 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Thompson Lane.
