Jim was born September 17, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife, Gloria Jean, were residents of Antioch for 35 years. He retired from Textron, originally Avco, now Triumph Aerostructures, after 31 years as a quality control engineer. Jim and Gloria Jean traveled extensively after his retirement. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, gaming with his friends, and was a history buff.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Joyce Kehir.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gloria Jean Kehir; son, Chad (Mary Beth) Kehir; daughter, Cynthia (Brandon) Riggan; grandchildren, Abigail Riggan, Joshua Riggan, Emma Kate Riggan, Michael Riggan, and Samuel Kehir; brother, Ronald (Linda) Kehir; sisters, Ruth Thorsett and Sue Orr; and other cherished nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Jim’s Life will be at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service.
