

Mrs. Lawrence was born September 26, 1941 in Menominee, Michigan to Wallace and Angela Boivin.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Michael Lawrence, of Smyrna, Tennessee, and her daughters, Jay Giles (Frank) of Celeste, Texas, Jill Malone (Allan) of Celeste, Texas, Janelle Garnett (Eric) of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Step-daughter, Lisa Huseynov (Sadig) of Rockledge, Florida. Further survived by her grandchildren, Andrea Glasscock, Brandon Darter, Colton Darter, Lindsay Green, Zachary Garnett, Malcolm Lawrence, Ava Huseynov, 11 great grandchildren, and by her sister, Diane Hultman (Leonard) of Menominee, Michigan. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brother Wallace Boivin (Suzanne).
Janet’s favorite pastimes included bowling, sewing, spending time with her family, and acting as a caregiver within her community. Following Janet’s retirement from Creative Care Center in 2009, she volunteered for the food pantry at her church, Smyrna First United Methodist, and at The Bridge at Hickory Woods, working with Alzheimer’s patients. One of her biggest accomplishments was receiving the Frist Humanitarian Award in 2009, as a volunteer at Southern Hills Medical Center. Janet was known for her giving spirit, donating to the Red Cross along with many other organizations.
Visitation for Janet will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mt Olivet Funeral Home, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN. Following the visitation will be a memorial service at 1:00 PM at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN.
