Jean Chrisman Smith

She was born in Davidson County on January 17, 1938 to her parents Joe and Minnie Chrisman. She was known as Jean to her friends and family. She married her husband, Jerry Smith Sr., on October 21, 2004. They were married for 19 wonderful years. She was employed at Admiral Binder for 24 years. Jean was a long time member of Una Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and listening to music.

She had 3 children of her own, 5 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She also welcomed Jerry’s 3 children when they married.

Jean is survived by her husband, Jerry Smith Sr. of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, JoAnn Scruggs, of Madison, Tennessee; daughter, Donna (Jeff) Neely, of Gallatin, Tennessee; son, Frank (Lisa) Primm, of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter, Tina (Josh) Shaw, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Grandchildren, Telisha (Brad) Gaines, Tesha (Alex) Martin, Taylor (Edgar) Hernandez, Tanner Primm, and Del (Jen) Primm; great grandchildren, Taylor Thomas Gaines, Riley Gaines Barker, Bradford Gaines, Neely Gaines, September Primm, Melody Hernandez, and Hunter James Martin; Jerry’s 3 children, Pam, Jerry Jr., and Shelly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Henry Chrisman; mother, Minnie Elizabeth Chrisman (Qualls).

A visitation for Jean will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Bro. Larry Floyd and Bro. Mark Schuerman will be officiating services, and those serving as pallbearers are, Frank Primm, Jeff Neely, Josh Shaw, Jerry Smith Jr., Brad Gaines, and Alex Martin.
