John attended Hillsboro High School and graduated from MTSU. He worked for the State of Tennessee in the Health Departments Water Quality Division for 38 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret McClendon. He is survived by his wife, Nancy E. McClendon; daughter, Tiffanie McClendon; favorite dog, Lucy Ducy; sister-in-law, Jean Stubbs and several nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alive Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home.
