On today Jody's birthday for some reason I was thinking about him. Gone too soon.. A kind soul.. He is with family now in God's care and loving embrace 💜

Today is a day with many memories...Jody...it would have been the double nickel - #55. I remember birthdays and time shared!! I saluted you today with dinner at Burger King...I remember stops there or at Monty's Pizza before games and stuff...Jody, your teams may have lost some, but, you were a winner in my eyes and are missed!! I look forward to the day when we can play catch in a much bigger yard and with a much bigger crowd!!  Rest comfortably with Jesus...and...Happy Birthday!!

... A sister's thoughts ...
Jody, Jody, Jody ... He could make me absolutely crazy, and he could make me laugh.  His lack of a filter was both frustrating and funny.  One thing for sure, though --- he was always Jody - He never tried to be someone or something that he wasn't.  When I reflect on our childhood, I mostly remember the times he would pick on me at the dinner table or give me a hard time :-)(because I was an angel, of course ---- NOT!) Particularly during the past year, I had the opportunity to spend more time with him, and our weekly trips to Walmart and Burger King were never without a laugh or two.  Sundays just won't be the same without you, Jody.
Selfishly, I sure wish we could enjoy more of those Sunday outings.  But selflessly, I am so grateful that you are at peace, and watching every Reds game from the best seat in the house.

A Father's Thoughts.................
It's always been said that you are not supposed to out-live any of your children.  I never gave it any serious thought until now.  I've come to accept the reality of this and there are two things which give me that strength.  First, Jody is now at peace and freed from any of the problems that have caused him distress in recent years. Secondly, in both a very bittersweet and somewhat twisted way, we are fortunate that his mother is not in a state of mind to realize what has happened; it would have broken her heart. Rest in peace, Jody.  You were a good son with us for over nearly 55 years and you will always be remembered fondly by family and friends.  As those good folks at Cedarcroft Home put it, Jody is now "with Jesus and fishing in the River of Life".

Jody will be missed.  What a great friend for over four decades!  You can't say that very often. 

I was blessed having Jody and the Finlay family as part of my life for so many years. I have so many treasured memories...the best may be Jody's hit off me in Little League!  He was smiling and I was frowning...but what a great day!!

We went to so many games and could talk stuff for hours (especially sports). I will definitely have a void in my life. 

You could not find someone better to be part of your life!  He overcame a lot and endured much, but, he was a friend in the truest possible sense.

As Easter comes to close, please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
