

Katherine Ann “Katie” Eadler. Katie unexpectedly passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family in the early morning of July 26, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 44. Born on April 25, 1981, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Alice Strobel Eadler and Robert Eadler. Katie was a lifelong Nashville resident, except for her college years. Reflecting her Catholic faith, Katie attended Christ the King parochial school and Father Ryan high school, class of 1999. With her athleticism, she played basketball and volleyball at those schools. Katie attended Francis Marion University for one year on a volleyball scholarship, then UT Knoxville and Middle Tennessee State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations. Her work experience included the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Center for Nonprofit Management/Hands on Nashville, Westminster Presbyterian preschool, the Tennessee Wildlife Federation, and most recently, the Metro Nashville Parks Department. Katie was a vibrant, loving, caring, outgoing, and genuine people person. She was artistically talented, enjoyed listening to music, cooking, watching movies, and traveling both domestically and abroad. She was also an animal lover and especially adored her American bulldog, Diesel and felines, Annie and Boo. In addition to her parents, Katie is survived by her brother Charles Eadler (Candice); aunts and uncles Richard and Raymond (Valeria) Eadler, and Patricia Eadler Hagerty; numerous loving cousins; a large extended family; and special friend Chance Church. Preceding Katie in death were grandparents Martin and Mary Catherine Schweiss Strobel and Duane and Ann Horbiak Eadler; aunts and uncles Veronica Strobel and Thomas Seigenthaler, Jerome and Patricia Holzapfel Strobel, Reverend Charles Strobel, and Donald Eadler; and cousin Mary Catherine Strobel Hayes. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital for their compassionate care during Katie’s final hours of life. May she rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be Tuesday August 5, 2025, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3001 Belmont Boulevard, Nashville, Tennessee.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Katie’s memory to Room in the Inn, 705 Drexel Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or a charity of ones choosing.
