Katherine (Kay) Carter DuBose

She was born March 30, 1938 to the late, Percy and Helen Carter.

Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn DuBose and sister, Helen McDonough.

Survivors include her three daughters - Marte Scruggs (Del), Ginger DuBose and Kathy Borum (David); Six doting grandchildren - Vade, Bryson, Katherine, Vaughn-Thomas, Blane and Spencer; sister - Frannie McMahon (Dick); brothers - Percy Carter (Orangie), Harvey Carter (Becky), Joe Carter (Carol) and Mike Carter (Maggie); and many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

Kay taught generations of children at St. Joseph School for 37 years. She was a phenomenal master teacher and mentor to many. She was a founding member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish where she was active in numerous church ministries.

The Rosary will be conducted on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 6:00pm with visitation following until 8:00pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville, TN

Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville, TN

Kay's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Tuition Assistance Fund. 1225 Gallatin Road South, Madison, TN 37115.
