He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Castleman Nash of 59 years; 2 sons Kenneth Keithly Nash II (Pam Nash) of Bon Aqua, TN, Gregory Nash (Mary Lee Nash) of Nashville, TN and 1 daughter, Beth Anne Nash of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by 4 brothers, 1 sister, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Ken was born July 31, 1933 in Bon Aqua, TN. He proudly and honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War, serving with the 330th Communication Reconnaissance Company, intercepting and decoding enemy communications. After his service in the war, he spent thirty- three years working for South Central Bell (Bell South) telephone company in Nashville, Greenwood MS and New Orleans, where he was affectionately known as K.K. Ken was a wonderful man who enjoyed life every day. He was a devoted loving husband and father. He deeply loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, riding horses and raising cattle on his farm in Bon Aqua, TN. He was an excellent water skier - still performing for his family after his 80th birthday. He enjoyed a good story and had a great sense of humor. He was physically strong and tough, yet was kind, giving, caring and self-less; a true gentleman. He loved The Lord and was a man of faith who influenced many people in all circles of his life. He quietly helped countless people without telling anyone about it. Through his thoughtfulness and wisdom, he could “preach” without judgment or even saying a word. Through his gentle optimism, he saw only the good in everyone he encountered.
