

STEINBRECHER, Kenneth W passed away February 7, 2013. he was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin in 1932, the son of the late Jerome & Viola Steinbrecher. Preceded in death by brother, Jerry (Donna) of Walnut Creek, California. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Florence; daughters, Chris (David) Melton, Suzie (Joe) Barry, both of Nashville; son, Jim (Kathryn) of Memphis, TN.; sister, Mrs. Bea Sieracki of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Michael Stewart, Eric Melton, Sarah Barry, Nicholas, Anna, Laura Grace & Clare Steinbrecher & numerous nieces & nephews. Upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, he was employed by the Allen Bradley Company in Milwaukee. In 1960, he joined Aladdin Electronics in Nashville as a Development Engineer doing research on magnetic materials for electronic applications. He was employed there for twenty-seven years. Mr. Steinbrecher was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in 1975 by the late Bishop Joseph Durrick and was assigned to Holy Rosary Church in Nashville. He taught in the Theology Department at Father Ryan High School from 1987 until his retirement in 1994. He continued his service as a deacon at Holy Rosary Church and also became the Facilities Manager for the Church and the Academy. He was also the chaplain for the Knights of Columbus Council 4972 for a number of years. In 2002, he vacated the position of facilities manager and taught at Holy Rosary School for three years. His body will lie in state at Holy Rosary Church on Sunday, Feb 10th from 4 pm until 8 pm with a wake service to be held at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb 11th at 10 o’clock at Holy Rosary Church with the Reverend Mark Hunt, Reverend James Panackal & Reverend Ed Steiner concelebrating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Windus, Ed Carr, Michael Stewart, Eric Melton, Pete Weaver, & Frank Davenport. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Knight of Columbus council 4972, members of the faculty of Father Ryan High School & Holy Rosary Academy, Ray Pillon, and Lee Baker. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, Holy Rosary Church or Father Ryan High School would be appreciated. Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home
