DERRICK, Linda Carol – Age 50 of Nashville passed away February 19, 2011 with her devoted husband John by her side. Preceded in death by her parents, Thelma L. Pasley and James Pentecost; brother, Wayne “Duck” White. Survived by loving husband, John Derrick; brother, Lehman (Melissa) White; aunt, Mary Cramer of Venus, FL. She will be missed by a host of extended family and friends. A special thanks to Alive Hospice, Vanderbilt Hospital, Dr. Barbara Kent, owner and employees of Tennessee Wine and Spirits, Lesa Pearce, sister-in-law, Beth King and Paula Hendrix. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice or American Cancer Society. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Steven Nicholson officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Steve Baily, Everett Terreal, J.R. Roberts, Tony Goodwin, Frank Farris and David Green. Visitation will be Tuesday 4 – 8 p.m. at WOODLAWN.
